Over the many years, we’ve been asked just about everything. No question is off limits! If your question is not answered here, email us and we’ll get back to you (and we’ll probably add your question to this list!)
-
Lessons take place in Charlestown, MA at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, 300 1st Ave, Boston, MA 02129
-
The water is about 92 degrees - the perfect temperature for learning as it allows us to be in the water for 2 hours at a time.
-
Nope. There are locker rooms with private places to change and we will have the pool to ourselves.
-
You will park in the heated parking garage underneath Spaulding and meet in the lobby. We will move to a conference room for the dry land workshop, then to the pool, where you will receive an overview of the facility from our team. You will change into whatever you are comfortable swimming in. You may wear a swim cap or not. You will rinse off in the shower before entering the pool, which has a very large shallow end that is great fo rlearning and spreading out!
-
The pool has a very large shallow end of 4 feet and it is very clear where it begins to get deeper. The deepest part of the pool is 8 feet. There is also a ledge and bar all the way around the pool to support a slow process of getting familiar with "the other end" of the pool!
-
Class size varies from 3 to 8 people. We always have at least two instructors and a lifeguard, so you will get individual support and attention.
-

-
YES you can use whatever makes you comfortable. That is the whole point!
